We arrive at Kansai International airport during night time and we rode the train straight to Kyoto. Our itinerary for 7 days and 6 nights in Japan:

  • Osaka (arrival)
  • Kyoto (3 days)
  • Tokyo (3 days)
  • Osaka (1 day and also departure)

We arrive in Kyoto after 2 to 3 hours and headed to Hana Hostel. Make sure to book early online so the only thing that you’ll worry when you arrive is how to get on your hostel.

So after long walk and struggle under the cold weather we arrived at Kyoto Hana Hostel. Most of their rooms (I believe so) are tatami. Excuse our unorganized beds ahaha. You can’t eat inside the rooms, so you better have your breakfast/ dinner on their kitchen area. Breakfast is free – just get your bread and coffee. Just make sure to clean up your mess. You can access the internet using their pc’s, you can also watch on their tv, they also do have free wifi access. The restrooms are shared as well. Since we can’t go out without taking a shower, it’s an advantage to us since most of them only use the shower during at night.

The hostel is just a few minutes walk from the station. We just got lost on our first day ahaha!

Tip: If you’re planning to go to Japan and wanted to make tipid on your trip. I suggest that you go to Osaka, Nagoya … of any of those that is far in the city. Bound to Tokyo has a very high price even if its seat sale.
