Seafood lovers, rejoice! As Isla Sugbu Seafood City finally extends their franchise in Manila. This Cebu-based restaurant is located in Venice Grand Canal Mall Taguig city. It’s a paluto-all-you-can buffet which adds to my curiosity on how the process would be.
And to welcome their customers, performers dance their way ala Cebu-feast.
Step 1: Wait until your server calls you to “market” the ingredients you want for your meal. This will take a while especially if there are a lot of customers. And I think they’re preventing the market to be full of people.
Step 2: As they call your number, head onto the market and choose the ingredients you want. From meat, seafood likes shrimps, different kind of fish, squids and more.
You’ll be assisted by your server as to how many kilos is fit for your group. And they can recommend some dishes that are perfect for the seafood of your choice. Of course, you can still request some cuisines if you have any ideas. But heads up, they don’t have pasta dishes.
Some of the seafood is sold separately. Like the live lobsters, huge crabs, sea mantis and those that are on the tank haha.
Their restaurant in the Grand Canal is very vibrant and well-lit.
I also take a shot of their menu for everyone’s reference. Please note that beverages, liquours, and desserts are charged on top of your bill.
Step 4: Feast on the dishes you’ve ordered. And repeat the process of marketing until you’re full.
These are some of the dishes that we’ve ordered. And I forgot to take a photo of the others (gutom lang) hahaha! All dishes are tasty, love them all and we’re all super busog. Very satisfied with their cooking.
Maybe the only feedback I can give is we have to wait before going into the market and then another waiting time until the dishes are cooked. Estimated, I think we’ve waited for 35 mins before we can eat. Unlike other buffet restos that you can already grab cooked meals once you get your table. Nevertheless, all seafood are fresh, the dishes are well cooked and the staff is super accommodating.
They slashed their regular prices for now as part of their opening promo. From Mondays-Thursdays instead of P1300, its P848. For Fridays, weekends and holidays, their rate, for now, is P888. You might want to grab those opening rates right? Enjoy your lamon and feast on that fresh seafood!
