In memory of the old Grand Prix Museum, I decided to take back a glimpse of what’s in store then. By the way, the new Grand Prix Museum will be open on November 2018! So watch for that.
Grand Prix Museum is dedicated to all Grand Prix worldwide. Wherein they exhibit photos, articles, cups and of course items used on racing like cars and motorcycles. And just so you know Macau also held racing events. Which I just recently knew as well hahaha. Too bad there’s no event during the time of our visit.
Admission is free! But take note of their schedule so you can squeeze it in your itinerary. They are closed on Tuesdays and opens from 10 AM – 6 PM.
How to get there. The museum is inside Macau Tourism Activities Center. Macau Wine Museum is also within the building. Take bus 1A, 3, 3A, 10, 10A, 10B, 12, 17, 23, 28A, 28B, 28C, 32 and get off at Rua de Luís Gonzaga Gomes, New Reclamation Area. To be honest, this is hard to follow, so what we did is a walk. Yes, walk! From Macau Outer Harbor Ferry terminal, the distance is estimated at 1.5 km. And since most Macanese can’t understand English, we brought our printed maps just in case we got lost.
If that is hard to follow, the near landmark in this building is Macau Lotus Square. If you see a towering golden flower on your way, then you’re near!
You’ll be welcomed by of course racing cars, vintage cars, and more cars. Even motorcycles are included inside the museum. The simulation is not available during our time of visit. So prep up those cameras of yours, and just enjoy the exhibit of cars.
Enjoy your grand tour in Macau!
